The Alpine™ WY is built on Weatherby®’s newest bolt-action rifle platform, the Model 307™. Meant to complement the historic Mark V® and Vanguard® lineups, the Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action compatible with many aftermarket accessories. Model 307 is designed to accommodate the vast offerings of stocks, triggers, rails, and mounts in today’s marketplace. Weatherby teamed up with PEAK 44 to produce an ultra-light rifle that can own the range and dominate in the field. The PEAK 44 Bastion stock weighs in at 24 ounces and uses a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad to reduce the effects of recoil. The lightweight, skip-fluted barrel delivers unmatched accuracy and comes with Weatherby’s recoil-reducing Accubrake DST. The Alpine WY embodies the Wyoming lifestyle and pays thanks to the Cowboy State. Go Pokes!

A rifle that carries the soul of the Cowboy State

Through years of innovation and testing, the Model 307 action features a bolt that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly, allowing hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16-style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The bolt is spiral-fluted and the handle skeletonized to reduce weight. The Alpine WY comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger for crisp and consistent trigger pulls.

Weighing in at just 24 ounces, the Peak 44™ Bastion stock is the lightest production, vertical grip carbon fiber stock on the market. It features a comfortable ambidextrous palm swell and a substantial thumb groove to promote proper form while shooting. The forend features dual sling studs to allow the shooter multiple options when deciding on accessories. This upgraded stock allows shooters to comfortably and accurately shoot from all positions at the range and in the field.

The steel barrel is skip-fluted to reduce weight, increase rigidity, and add surface area to help cool the barrel faster than traditional barrels. The Alpine WY comes with the recoil-reducing Accubrake DST. All Weatherby rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot SUB-MOA group at 100 yards with factory-loaded premium ammunition.

The receiver, barrel, bolt, and bottom metal are coated in a durable custom Cerakote to help reduce corrosion in the harshest of conditions. This custom paint job features the iconic Steamboat logo and is perfect for anyone who loves the Cowboy State.

The Alpine WY is compatible with most after-market 700® platform parts, making it the most open platform in the Weatherby line-up. Proudly built at our headquarters here in Sheridan, WY.

TriggerTech Trigger

TriggerTech’s trigger provides true zero-creep break, extremely short over-travel, and is externally adjustable (down to 2.5 lbs). Precision cut stainless steel components ensure consistent trigger pulls from shot to shot in a safe, reliable, and corrosion resistant package. Features a 2 position safety.

Tool-less Bolt Takedown

The Model 307 showcases an all-new 3 piece bolt design, featuring a completely tool-less takedown.

Accubrake DST™

The Accubrake DST is a side-ported directional self-timing brake. Side-ported brakes direct gases to the left and right reducing muzzle rise and drastically reducing felt recoil. A timing nut allows users to easily self-time the brake without the aid of a gunsmith.

Carbon Fiber Stock

Sourced from Peak 44, this stock has the distinction of being the lightest production aerospace-grade carbon fiber stock on the market.     Harvested a 6×6 bull elk just over 200 yards one and done. Tested the rifle over 600 yards sub moa with factory hondady 175gr ELDX 2859FPS 5 shot average 9000FT elevation. Would love to see what 26 or 28 in barrel would do. Super pleased with the weight very nice to pack. 5 stars overall

    Just harvested a decent 6×6 bull elk not a long shot just over 200 yards. Put him down with 1 shot. Tested the rifle in hunting condition with a burris fullfeild scope at over 600 yards and could not be happier. Sub moa groups with 10mph winds. In over 9000 ft elevation at 35 degrees F. So pleased. My only thoughts are what would a 26 or 28 in barrel do. Chronographed Hornady 175gr eldx loads out of the rifle at 2859 average after 5 shots after break in. I would like to see a little faster load but not bad for factory ammo. Overall still 5 stars.

    Just purchased one of these beauties. 9/28/2025 im 7mm PRC. I put 1 full box of Hornady Factory ammo through it and i cannot be more pleased. Deffinatly sum MOA groups
