Order Processing
We process and ship orders in the order they are received. Processing times vary depending on the nature of your order and current order volume. We appreciate your patience and want to be upfront about what to expect before your order ships.
Standard Items
(Apparel, Accessories, Ammunition, and Non-Firearm Products)
Standard items are typically processed and shipped within 3–7 business days of order placement. During periods of high order volume — including but not limited to promotional events and the holiday season — processing times may be longer. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
Firearms — In-Stock Items
Firearms listed as In Stock on our website are available for immediate processing and typically ship within 3–7 business days of order placement, pending FFL transfer coordination. Please see FFL Transfer Requirements below.
Firearms — Build to Order, Backorder & Preorder
Firearms listed as Build to Order, Backorder, or Preorder are not currently in stock and will be built or sourced to fulfill your order. Please allow up to 90 days from the date of your order for completion and shipment preparation. Many orders are fulfilled sooner, but we cannot guarantee a specific completion date within that window.
Firearms — Custom Builds
Custom firearm builds require additional time due to the individualized nature of the work involved. Please allow a minimum of 120 days from order confirmation, with the understanding that more complex builds may require additional time beyond that. Our team will communicate with you throughout the process.
FFL Transfer Requirements
All firearm purchases require transfer through a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer (FFL) in your area. Your order cannot ship until we have received and verified your FFL dealer’s information and license on file.
To avoid delays, we encourage you to identify your preferred FFL dealer and have their information ready at the time of purchase. Once we reach out to collect this information, please respond promptly — our team works to process FFL documentation as quickly as possible, but transfer coordination is dependent on timely communication from both the customer and the receiving FFL dealer.
Please note that FFL transfer timelines are outside of Weatherby’s control and are not included in the build or processing times referenced above.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
All firearms are shipped in compliance with federal law via carriers authorized for firearm transport. Standard items are shipped via [UPS / FedEx / USPS]. Weatherby reserves the right to select the shipping carrier and method unless a specific method is requested and confirmed at checkout.
Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation containing your tracking number. For Build to Order, Backorder, Preorder, and Custom firearm orders, you are welcome to contact our team for a status update at any point during the process.
